The Web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect to help people work together and not as a technical toy. The ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the world. We clump into families, associations and companies. We develop trust across the miles and distrust around the corner.
—Tim Berners-Lee, Weaving the Web (Harper)

We live in a world where a vast amount of data is generated daily,"The information age" as its rightly called. Prior to this era data has always been generated but insight has been slow. The advancement in information technology has now made it possible in real time to gain tremendous insight into data that once eluded us and the implication is we can now make timely decision based on the data.

Previous generations understood time in different contex. At a point it was a simple understanding of sunrise and sunset. Today we have been able to take the concept of sunrise to sunset, accompanied with our understanding of the rotation of the earth on its axis we know that 60 seconds make one minute,60 minutes make an hour, 24hours make a day and 365 days makes a year. The complete revolution of the earth around the sun.

Compressed in time is huge amount of information spread over the lifetime of the universe.Prehistoric man left clues about his environment, his culture and his belief.Modern has also left trails and has continually tried to understand the clues left by his ancestors.Locked in this puzzle is a vast amount of information structured in bits that summaries the history and experience they had.

Modern advancement in technology has enabled humans appreciate the vast data trail we have inherited. This extremely huge amount of data can be called big data and can now be analysed computationally to reveal patterns, trends and association most especially as it relates to human interaction and behaviour.

Our daily activity continuously yield data some individualized others collective.
My goal is to build a framework that can we seamlessly interact with to gain better insight into passive data we create and how collectively it can be used to solve the problems we face. For the next couple of weeks I be will be exploring the following concepts below:
